Do I have to apply for my IDP in person?

No. PayPoint confirms that anyone can apply for an IDP on your behalf if they have all of your correct documents. As an authorised PayPoint agent (Site ID 31144054), Meezan Travel completes the application for you at our PayPoint terminal and delivers your permit to the address on your UK driving licence. Is this the same official IDP I would get at a PayPoint store?

Yes. We issue the genuine official UK International Driving Permit through PayPoint, together with your original PayPoint receipt. It is the same permit issued at any PayPoint counter — the only difference is that we verify your documents, print your photo and deliver it to your door.

Why is the price £29.99 when the IDP fee is £5.50?

The £5.50 is PayPoint's base IDP fee. Our £29.99 all-inclusive price covers that fee plus document verification, passport-photo printing, secure processing and tracked home delivery. We are fully transparent that the difference reflects these added services, not the permit itself.

Is Meezan Travel's online IDP service legitimate?

Yes. Meezan Travel & Courier Ltd is an authorised PayPoint agent based at 3 Corporation Street, Walsall, WS1 4HW (Site ID 31144054). We are not selling an unofficial translation — we apply for the genuine PayPoint IDP on your behalf and post you the original permit and receipt.

Do I need an IDP to drive in the EU?

If you hold a full UK photocard driving licence, you do not need an IDP to drive in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein. An IDP is required for many other countries — always check your destination's rules on the GOV.UK Driving Abroad guidance.

How long does it take and where is it delivered?

Processing typically takes 1–2 working days, subject to DVLA verification. Your IDP is delivered by tracked post to the address printed on your UK driving licence, so please make sure that address is up to date before you apply.
